The Day it All Began…

Moon (re) Cycles was birthed by Liz Bosworth and Jess Chacon-

Two mountain biking goddesses, who reside in Southern Colorado!

One evening, during the 2020 pandemic, we decided to take a ladies ride under the Full Moon. We met up with our dear friend Autumn at the Pronghorn trailhead in Del Norte, CO. When we arrived and were gearing up, Liz pulled out a surprise for us all…a pair of homemade bike tube earrings that she had hand sewn. She pieced together some old fabric and beads to a piece of bike tube…the design was meant to resemble the Full Moon we were about to ride under.

When we returned from our ride, Liz and Jess decided to play around with making more bike tube earrings together while being pandemic, quarantine buddies. As we continued to get together we played around with ideas, visions, names and intentions…Then one day, the name “Moon (re)Cycles” was born.

Not only was the name inspired from the moon that night, but it was inspired by the greater offerings of the moon…such as: its sacred 28 day cycle that we women are connected to. In addition, our name encompasses our environmental consciousness to re-use and recycle and of course our love for mountain biking! This project has been SO much fun and we are so grateful to all who have already supported us. Thank you for being a part of our ride!

Happy Trails!

With Peace & Love,

Jess & Liz
